sustainability
Love and respect for nature play an essential role in our work, from planting the vines to harvesting the grapes and distributing each bottle of wine to the end consumer.
In northern Argentina, as in many other places in the country and in South America, the "Pacha Mama", Mother Earth, is revered as a great gift from God. Aware of this gift, we ensure that productive activity brings beauty to the place and we pay attention to it , to preserve the existing delicate balance. We treat the vines without invasive techniques, letting the blazing sun of the day and the deep cold of the night ensure tasty grapes. The altitude of 2,100 meters above sea level and the dry climate offer ideal health conditions for our vineyard.
The sun shines almost every day in "Arca Yaco". We have therefore installed solar systems that cover 100% of the electricity needs of the property.
In addition, we are pioneers in the use of light and resistant bottles, which significantly reduce the ecological footprint along the entire logistics chain. We do not use any plastics in the packaging, only glass, paper and cardboard.
When it comes to international transport and wine distribution, we only work with leading companies that invest in constantly reducing and balancing their environmental footprint. Our importer DB Schenker implements “Green Logistics” initiatives (https://www.dbschenker.com/de-de/ueber-uns/nachhaltigkeit/oekologie). Our logistics partner DPD is committed to sending all its parcels in a climate-neutral manner (https://www.dpd.com/de/de/nachhaltigkeit/klimaneutraler-paketversand).
